1998 - 1996
After securing her first media job in 1988 as Promotions and Marketing Director for a group of Denver area radio stations, Anne learned the business from the ground up. She developed a love for media and marketing while producing major revenue generating events. These events attracted large audiences and served as ideal direct marketing vehicles for a variety of advertisers.
1996 - 2007
In 1996, Anne parlayed her extensive knowledge gained in marketing and promoting radio stations, to directing business development efforts for television. Anne was a key figure in the development of 9News.com as a revenue-generating platform for KUSA TV. With executive level support, Anne developed the rate structure and traffic system for 9News.com-achieving billing of over $2 million per year. Through her positions at KWGN-TV (WB-Tribune), KUSA-TV (NBC-Gannett) and most recently, at the Entravision suite of Spanish-language properties, Anne has also proven her skills in advertiser- and grant-funded public outreach by developing a vast array of marketing and development initiatives.
Some of these initiatives include The Ten Things Every Child Needs for KWGN-TV, The Safeway Kitchen and Parents Are The Power for KUSA-TV. Parents Are The Power (KUSA-TV) was Anne's first foray into grant-funded social change marketing. Built as a partnership between the Daniels Fund, 9News and the Denver District Attorney's office, PATP utilized foundation dollars to air a media campaign, informing parents about how to talk to their children about the dangers of using drugs.
After Anne left KUSA-TV for Spanish language media, she continued to push the envelope in developing grant-funded initiatives for television. Through Anne's efforts, the station group created Yo CREO: Cambio Acción Educación, El Poder de la Prevención, and Saludable-three grant-funded health- and education-based social change marketing initiatives. Through her efforts, Anne established long-term relationships with many foundations and funders, including the Daniels Fund, the Colorado Health Foundation, the Piton Foundation, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), as well as many others. She has designed and executed public health awareness campaigns on behalf of the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen, the American Diabetes Association, Colorado Easter Seals and the CDPHE.
